Four candles. Thomas had his fourth birthday on the 5th, held at ToysRUs. It was a pirate theme, which was entertaining, and some of Thomas's friends from school and soccer, as well as most of his cousins and two grandmothers. The part Thomas enjoyed most was running around the store dressed as a pirate, yelling "Arrrrr!" at everyone.
Hot-rodder. Joe and I got Thomas a bike for his birthday. Evelyn has been showing a lot of interest in Thomas's trike, so we figured we'd get him an upgrade and let her have the hand-me-down. It comes with a pait of training wheels, fortunately, and Thomas hasn't quite got the hang of the backward-pedal-brake. But he's quite proud of his bike and his new helmet that has flashing lights.
Still no talky. Evelyn has picked up maybe one or two new words since the last post. One is "Dolly", with which she fell in love at sight at ToysRUs. The other is "up", although I've only heard it clearly once, kinda twice. She has us well-trained.
Boo! Halloween pictures are up! Thomas as a skeleton, Evelyn as some sort of ladybug fairy, Andi as a vampiress, as well as some pics of the Abdalla cousins in their costumes. When asked what he wanted to be for Halloween, Thomas said, "A skeleton -- you know, with the little bones?" Joe had found him a shirt with a skeleton print on it, and I made him some skeleton pants while at Eglin. Although in the pictures I notice he's lost a kneecap...
